So today, June 8th, Daystar Design turns 7 years old.  SEVEN!  To celebrate we are having an icon and wallpaper contest that will last the summer.  Click the banner below to see photos of the prizes and find out more info.



Let me also take this moment to say thank you to our Wall Admins, Kato and GeneD, and the MANY MANY artists who have been kind enough to let me post their creations on Daystar. 
Our current totals- Wallpapers: 2271  Icons: 10678  Layouts: 118  PNGs: 475

In case you didn't guess I'm going to let the Layouts and PNG section to die out.  The PNG section might get a few updates a year, and the layout section I'm not likely to ever add to again (I hate making them).  I'm going to focus on the Icons and Wallpapers as those are the most popular anyway. 

I will also be changing the layout ... eventually.  I'm so sick of this one, but I can't make up my mind what to do for a new layout.  I promise the new layout won't have such a huge banner that makes scrolling a pain.  @_@

Yay, Happy Birthday Daystar!! I will definitely be entering the wallpaper contest and maybe the icon one. Good luck to everyone else and the judges in choosing the winners. I predict a whole lot of hot bishies making an appearance in our near future. XD

Maybe you should put up a poll where we can view the new layout options and help you choose? Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan is really hot right now, have we used any images from the game before?

I think I will definitely join since the deadline is August 31st...I should be able to find some time by then with my hectic uni schedule. Is there a deadline for entering the contest? I read the rules and all but maybe I skipped/failed to see that bit of information (it's almost 1 am here and I'm supposed to study, so... XD).

GeneD - I'm excited to see your entries!    Yeah I was thinking of using Hakyouki, I was just a little hesitant to use another Otome video game for the layout.  But if you think it's a good idea I feel better about it.  XD  Plus it is an anime too I guess...

alenas - As long as you send your icons or walls to me by August 31st they will be entered in the contest.  You don't have to register ahead of time or anything like that.

I would like to join the contest, but I'm so busy. I shall try though because there's still plenty of time before the end of August rolls around! Now just to decide who to use... hehe~
